~What Warms You~

Stacey at Poofing The Pillows is hosting a recipe exchange today...and I almost forgot! I told her I wanted to join a few days ago. If you want a great warm Fall meal, I posted a good one, not to long ago, click here and warm up with this wonderful Down Home Chicken Noodles, I want to add something about this recipe, I made it again a couple of days ago and used 3 cans of cream of chicken soup and I used the bow tie pasta....let me tell you, it was much better...it was more soupy! Now, after you finish here, go over to Poofing The Pillows and check out all the recipes! Yummmy!!!

If you haven't seen the post I did earlier today, about The Cheesecake Factory, take a minute and check it out, below.

Thanks again everybody for stopping by, Blessings to you all, Nancy

~The Cheesecake Factory~

I know we have shopped for days and haven't eaten a bite....where's my Southern Manners??? I vote for The Cheesecake Factory, so let's go. The Cheesecake Factory has something for everyone, and believe me when I say, two people can share a meal! The Cheesecake Factory in Nashville is at the Green Hills Mall. You can check out everything about The Cheesecake Factory by clicking here you can read about how they got started and check out the menu. You can also find the nearest locations. We don't have one in Knoxville:( I believe Nashville and Atlanta is the closest one to me.
Well, let's just eat desert first...LOL This is the 30th year Anniversary of The Cheesecake Factory. This is their Special Anniversary Cheesecake....Oh, It is Soooooo good! Right now they have 29 different Cheesecakes to choose from! The original with strawberries is my favorite, but I wanted to try this one this time.

Hubby ordered fish and chips.

I ordered a Kids meal Chicken Strips.

OOOH, who is that handsome man??? This is the front door area, I hope if you click on the picture you can see that tile work it is exquisite.

This is the area where you can view all the different cheesecakes.

No expense was spared when creating this restaurant! The detail is unreal! I have been told it is alot like looking at some of the buildings in Vegas...I wouldn't know....never been to Vegas! However, it did remind me of a dining room on a cruise ship.

This is more tile work I wanted you to see...it goes all around these mirrors...all over the restaurant.

These light fixtures are all over too and like nothing I have ever seen. Just check out the artwork!

Have you ate too much and now need a nap??? I hope you all have enjoyed our week together in Nashville! I still have a few Christmas pictures to show you from the BlackLion, and I will work those in later.
Today is Halloween and I hope you all have a wonderful day! Hope everyone has all your candy ready for tonight. Happy Halloween everybody!!!
Now, I no some of you are anticipating my decorations for our church Trunk or Treat that is tonight....I WAS too! I want to first say, I am not the sick type, you know me better than that, I hope, however I have come down with something else...I don't think it is a back set to the Bronchitis...I think it is just a sinus infection...I have a doctors apt. later today, believe me I never have to go to the Dr....so twice in one month is a record for me. I said all that to say, I think it would be better that I not stand outside tonight, in the cool air, to do Trunk or Treat. This will be the first year, that I have not participated, so I am disappointed! I will tell you what I was going to do...first, my hubby has a F250 truck, that we was going to fill with straw, pumpkins, scarecrows and mums, I had a couple of battery operated Fall lights I was going to use. I was going to sit big baskets of candy on the tail gate. We had a couple of ideas too on dressing up, either just doing some Fall dressing or McCain and Palin, we just wasn't sure how the kids would relate to McCain/Palin, but the adults would have liked it, I even found me some fake Palin glasses..LOL, and a friend of mine was going to do an updo on my hair, so there you have my idea....oh, I am so disappointed!!! I do not intend on staying in all weekend either! I just can't do that! Knoxville is having a Tinsel and Treasure Show this weekend, it's inside so if I just have a sinus infection, I am going to that show! You know I will take lots of pictures and I'll show you later. I really don't feel too bad, so I think it will be okay to go, I just have to, I have never missed a Tinsel and Treasure either!!!
I do hope everybody has a fantastic day and weekend!!! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Blessings to you all, Nancy

~Legends Ridge In Franklin~

After all that shopping, I am ready to eat! Put on your set belts and let's head to the Cheesecake Factory but first let's take detour through Legends Ridge. Legends Ridge sits between Nashville and Franklin right off Hillsboro Pike. If you've ever been to Nashville, then you know there is Big Gorgeous Homes everywhere! This subdivision is new to me..I had never seen it before, there is even security that you have to go through to get in. I'm not talking a gate with a code you have to put in....I'm talking a brick building with a security man sitting inside! I did not take picture of it because I was afraid!
This is the entrance...it looks like this on both sides going into the subdivision.

It was cloudy the day we went...so the sky looks white in these pictures.

This was my favorite!!!! Below is a close up of the front door. The thing about this house, that I have never seen was...it is brick with like a thin stuck-O finish over the brick...very old world looking...I hope if you click on the picture to enlarge it...you can see what I am talking about on the house. There was a couple of houses with this finish on them in this subdivision. I am loving it! When you enlarge the picture, notice the wall around the driveway and notice the stone around the trees in the front yard....Oh, the detail!! I would love to have seen the inside of this house!!!!!

You can see some of the Fall and Halloween decor on the porch. That door is breathtaking gorgeous!!!

I wish you could see that big tree in the front yard! It made this home look like a picture in a magazine!

This one looks so enchanting to me. I hope you can see the detail of this brick! This picture doesn't do it justice.

Try clicking on these pictures, I think you can enlarge them and check out all the Great Fall Decor!
This is the other house{above} that has brick with what I call a Stuck-O finish over it...click on the pictures to enlarge. If anyone knows what this technique is called let me know.

Loved that breeze way porch!
Well, that sums up our Legends Ridge Tour. I was so afraid that security man was going to get a call that someone was taking pictures, and we would get run out of there or worse..he would confiscate my camera...LOL Hope you all enjoyed the tour.
Okay, I know, enough already! You're ready to eat! Well, you'll have to wait till another day. I know, I am teasing you, right? Cheesecake factory will come tomorrow. I still have a few Christmas Pictures from the BlackLion to post, but I am going to save them till after Halloween.

I want to thank Darlene at Darlene's Days, and Robin at The Robin's Nest for Booing Me....I have that posted on my sidebar.
Also, thank you Jessica at The Cozy Kettle for a new Award...also posted in the sidebar!!!
Thank you so much ladies for these Awards and Boos, I love you all and enjoy your blogs more then you'll ever know! I should be the one giving you all an award! Some one else gave me an award yesterday and I thought I saved it, but I didn't....I am so sorry! If it was you please just send me a comment or email and I will post the award asap!
Thank you everybody for stopping by today and Blessings to you all, Nancy

~Fancy Nancy @ The BlackLion~

Y'all ask for more....so you got it! Don't forget my name over at RMS is Shop Till I Drop....aka...Shop. We're going to the Fancy Nancy's booth at The Black Lion. All these pictures came from the that one booth. It is with out a doubt my favorite booth! Loaded with what I would say is this Fancy Nancy's style :) Fancy Nancy's has lots of Monogrammed pillows for the home.

I regret not getting these cute coasters...they are so whimsical. What was I thinking???? I may have to give Fancy Nancy's a call and see if she will mail these to me.

This pillow above and the bedding below was gorgeous!!! I love toile and these colors work so great together. These bunnies would have went so good with the bedding above!

Adorable Teapot Lamp!! Couldn't you absolutely find a spot for it! I could!

Very cute bag!

Tons of poofy pillows!

Take a look at these children's chairs. Aren't they neat! I wanted one and I don't have any small children..LOL This is a board that hangs in the booth...it shows some of the chairs that Fancy Nancy's has made.
This is one of the chairs! You know you want one too! They are so sweet!

More competition, I need to buy up all these so no one else can! ;)

This is another regret! I have noticed a couple of pillows in this picture that I didn't notice when I took this picture. I like them all, but I want the red and yellow toile and the plaid ones, maybe the black ones with the red transferware too. :)
I took this picture to show case this table. I thought it was gorgeous, I could not take my eyes off of it...I guess that's why I didn't notice the pillows better. :)

Here's a close up of that table that I was in Awe of.

Loved these French Country plaques! My favorite colors!

Fancy Nancy's makes custom drapes and valances. There were several hanging in the booth. This one is my favorite....My favorite colors again.

Don't that just says it all! Home is the Perfect Nest!!! I know all y'all would agree with that!

More monogrammed pillows!

Another cute handbag.
This sums up Fancy Nancy's at The BlackLion. Listen girls, I do love to shop. Lots of times I don't buy a thing, like this trip! People ask me, how can you go shopping and never buy a thing, well I always ask myself, can I live with out it...if I answer, Yes...then I pass it up. I know we can always live without buying STUFF, but sometimes I do find something that I THINK I can't live without it. I also enjoy shopping for a couple of friends and family members. Girls, I can shop at the $ Tree or Yard Sales and yes, even Macy's. I just enjoy looking and you never no what treasure you just might find, I also look for bargins, I just don't like to pay full price if I can help it. Love to use coupons to, nothing wrong with that! If you saw anything you couldn't live with out, just let me know, I have the Phone number for Fancy Nancy's. Now, I am off to call her about those coasters:)
There is one more shopping day to come from the BlackLion, and I promise it's not as long as this one was. It's a just a few Christmas pictures from the BlackLion. Then, after all that shopping, I know you all have shopped up an appetite, so we will stop by The Cheesecake Factory for a bite, but first on the way to eat will be touring Legends Ridge subdivision between Franklin and Nashville.
Blessings to you all, Nancy...aka...Shop

~Celebrate Life @ The BlackLion In Nashville~

Are you ready to shop some more, Okay let's roll! This is the BlackLion in Nashville located at the Opry Mills Mall. There are a few BlackLions around, so check your area to see if you have one close by. The BlackLion is a Huge store that is full of different booths. Each booth is decorated by different individuals that maybe own gift shops or decor shops. There will be 3 post on the BlackLion. Hope y'all enjoy. I loved this little plate...to me "Celebrate Life" sums it all up!
This is the front of the BlackLion. Huge Store!!!

Oh, I looked and looked for a "N"! There was none to be found! Aren't they cute! I just loved the leopard print on them!

This little booth was a little on the primitive side, but very pretty!

One booth was all silver and puter.

Oh, somebody hold my mule...I just about flipped when I saw all these! I was in awe and in a hurry and could not decide which ones to get....so I didn't get any:(
regret!!!!

Another weakness....Lamps!!!! Beautiful lamps!!!

I heart that green lamp!

I heart this too...What ever it's called!

All little bit prissy, I would say! Gorgeous!

Cute Bookmarks!

Black with white! I loved them!!!
Next up will be a booth at the BlackLion that is named "Fancy Nancy" You girls, will not believe it! I took enough pictures of that one booth for probably two posts, but I am going to show them all in one post!
Thanks everyone for stopping by! Blessings to you all! Nancy

~I Need To Pick Your Brain~

Okay Girls, I need to pick your brain.....Our church is having a Trunk or Treat on the 31st. I always sign up every year and do a few little decorations in the trunk. However, this year they are having a contest for the best decorated trunk, there will be a prize given away also. Now, you all know, I really don't care as much about the prize as I do just winning that contest....The Best Decorated Trunk!!! I think it might be a sin if I don't win...LOL. We have a couple that always goes all out...with clown costumes and such....so the clown stuff is out of the question. We do have to keep it clean and modest...nothing evil....no witches or any thing like that. I have NOT had any ideas to pop into my head as of yet...so I am pitching this out to all you wonderful, talented, smart decorators!!! Yes, I am begging for any IDEAS!!!!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I will be busy the rest of the week, getting ready for a yard sale on Saturday. Anyone in the Knoxville area that wants to come....if you will send me a email, I will send you directions. Thanks everybody for any ideas you can send my way.....take some time to think about it. I want start getting things ready till the week of Halloween. If you have an idea to pop into your brain...just send it this way! Blessings to you all! Nancy

~Saturday Yard Sale Finds~Some New Trim~&Mississippi Mud Cake~

We (hubby and me) had to work today, We didn't have to be there till 10AM, so that meant a little yard sale time on the way to work:) There was a set of condos, just down the street from us, having a neighborhood sale. I didn't find a lot of things, but I did find a couple of treasures. I am not sure what this iron scroll thingy is, but I have always loved them! I found this one today for $8.00...I think that is a great price....I have seen them for around $40. For now it is sitting on this table in the Great Room, but that is subject to change.
Love these chairs, both of them was $10.00. I thought that was an excellent find! They are sitting in our garage until we get them refinished. Some one has painted a glaze on these chairs, I think the wood under that glaze will be beautiful. I can recover the chair bottoms my self. I am so excited about getting these refinished and you know I will show when finished. Please look past the junk in the garage....we will be having a garage sale this coming Saturday....so things are piling up out there!

Bird cage was $3.00, I don't think I will paint it for a while. I will definitely take that flower decor and bird off!! Clean it up and then I will try it in several different places. Of course, it is subject to being spray painted!
No, the trim did not come from the yard sales today. Yesterday, I went to a fantastic fabric and trim store here in Knoxville....Just wanted to use some different trims on some new tassels I will be making soon. The lady at the trim store ask me why I was buying so many different trims...so I told her....and she said..."I have something you might can use" then she pulled out a box of 1 to 1.5 yards...some almost 2 yards of different trim pieces...some she gave to me and some she sold very cheap! I was about to shout right there!

I was going to save this recipe for another post, but I could not wait to share it. So here it is. ~Mississippi Mud Cake~ I know everybody has made this cake, but this is my favorite recipe for this one! Delish and Easy, and a Real Crowd Pleaser! It's rich and fudgy frosting poured over a layer of mini marshmallows atop a brownie like cake, and Oh, so moist!!!

1 1/3 c. all purpose flour, 1/4 t. salt, 2 c. sugar. 1/2c. baking cocoa, 1 c. butter or margarine, melted, 4 eggs beaten, 1t. vanilla, 2 c. mini marshmallows, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 1/3c. baking cocoa, 2/3 c. milk, 16 oz. box powdered sugar sifted.

Stir together first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla....stirring until smooth. Spread into a greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 325 for 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.....Then, sprinkle hot cake with mini marshmallows.

Fudge Icing, Combine 1/4 cup butter, 1/3 cup baking cocoa and milk in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly with wire whisk, and boil one minute. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar a little at a time. Immediately pour chocolate mixture over marshmallows. Let cake cool completely on a wire rack. cut into squares. I have to tell you, my cake did not get a chance to cool!!! We enjoyed it warm....Wonderful is all I can say!!!!

Take a shortcut! You can substitute a brownie mix for the cake batter recipe, just remember, to use a brownie mix for a 13x9 pan.

To get picture perfect slices from this rich cake, cover and chill it overnight before slicing it. I think it would be tooooo hard to wait that long!

Annie 100, I want to thank you for all your comments! I have tried to email you or comment you, but if you have a blog it's not coming up for me. You ask me a question about the picture frame with the W......all I did was print it off the computer...I think I did it under Works or Word Pad....I can't remember for sure, because I use both of them. You can change out your font styles on those programs and You can make them as large as you want....You may have to try a couple of different sizes before you find the one that will work for your project! I hope I have answered your question! Thanks for asking!!!

Well, there you have it....my Saturday finds.....some new trimming for tassels and a recipe, boy I could Edit a Magazine...LOL. I know this has been a long post, and if you have stayed with it....Thank You! I do hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL weekend! Thank you everybody who takes the time out of your day to stop by and leave a comment, I can't tell you how I and My whole family enjoys reading them....even hubby loves to read them! Blessings to you all, Nancy

~It's A Chandi ReStyle~A Picture Frame Change & Cabin Fever~

Cabin Fever has set in Y'all! I have been in this house a week today, except for going to the doctor on Monday, I haven't been anywhere! I've got to get out and about today, I am going to eat lunch with my best friend (my Hubby) and making a stop by Hobby Lobby on the way back home. I can't wait to get out of here! I will visit with all of you later tonight.
Now, do you all remember these lamp shades I bought at the neighbor hood yard sales? I finally was able to clean the Chandi in the Bedroom this week, and a cleaning it did need!!! I changed out the old shades with the leopard ones from the yard sales. You can see the way the Chandi did look in the post below....but check out the re-style with the new shades. I love 'em! I am a leopard print nut anyway, but I think these new shades adds a touch of Whimsy. Do y'all see my hubby's hat hanging on that bed post? Let me tell you, I took it down and took a picture with out it hanging there, after I realized it was in the first picture I took. Then I hung it back on the post. That night, hubby is laying in bed watching TV and says to me...."Did you move my hat?" .....I said WHAAAAT? , He said..."somebody moved my hat", He said, "I always have it turned facing the bed, so I can see it while I am laying in bed!" Girls, When I hung it back up there I didn't pay any attention to how it was hanging....I just hung it back....I didn't know IT had to hang a special way...LOL Men always have those little boy ways, that's what makes them so cute!!! I thought it was funny, that he had noticed and that he had a special way of hanging that hat. After all that, I decided the Chandi Picture with the hat showing had to go in the post....LOL...Oh, he told me he liked the shades too! He's so sweet!Remember this round picture frame, also bought at the yard sales........

Well, now it displays our initial....I used a creamy color scrapbook paper to print the W....but it looks white in this post. I like the way this turned out, I can always change it out with different backgrounds and it only cost pennies.
Well, there you have it~ This is a couple of the things I have felt like doing this week. I want to thank EVERYBODY one more time for your prayers and comments! I have been so touched with all the response to my little illness! I am feeling almost 100% better....if this cough would go away, it's so aggravating!

I hope everyone has a great day! Don't get sick! Wash those hands often!!!! I'm off to meet hubby for lunch!
Blessings to you all, Nancy

~Can't Keep A Southern Gal Down For Long~

Thank you EVERYONE that has been praying for me! I know you all have been praying, because I can feel the prayers!!! Thank you for all the emails and comments, it has been so uplifting to read them...you gals are the best!!! I have spent the last 4 days in bed! I told my hubby I could not take another day laying in this bed! I would try to get up and do a few things, but just couldn't do anything! The doctor said yesterday that I wouldn't start feeling better for a couple of more days, but let me tell you God is in control! I slept so good last night...didn't get up even one time! When I woke up this morning, I felt sooooo good....still have a congested cough, but no fever!PTL!! I will still take it easy today, but girls this bedroom has got to be cleaned....those sheets have got to go!LOL:)
Oh, I want to thank my son, Aaron, I had been asking him for several weeks to help me redo my layout, I think he was feeling bad for me, because last night, he came and said, "Mom, are you ready for me to do your layout"....I jumped on the offer! Girls, he had it done in minutes, it would have taken me hours!!! Thank You Aaron! By the end of the day, I hope my bedroom looks like this again!
Again, I want to thank you all...I will be making my rounds a little at a time to thank each one of you personally! You blogging gals are the best!
Jan, I am planning on attending that tea party for your birthday tomorrow! I might be a little late on getting it together, but count me in!
I hope everyone has a great day and blessings to you all! Nancy

~Down-Home Chicken & Noodles~&~Grilled Cheese~

Who likes Grilled Cheese???? Well, around here grilled cheese is a staple! I am always thinking of ways to make it different. Add ham, bacon, or tomatoes. One of my favorite ways is to make it is with french bread! You can slice it as thick as you want to, we like it pretty thick... it's so good and you can't just stop with one! I slice it on a angle to make it a little larger. Once you try it with french bread, you will never fix them with regular bread again!

This is a recipe from one of my Gooseberry Patch books...I had never made it before, but I thought it sounded good. If you like it more soupy just adjust with chicken stock. Here's the recipe:

Down-Home Chicken & Noodles

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

salt and pepper to taste

2 10 3/4 oz. cans cream of chicken soup

14 1/2 oz. can chicken broth

16 oz. pkg. wide egg noodles, cooked

Place chicken in a slow cooker: sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with both cans of soup. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours, or until chicken falls apart. Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred, then return to slow cooker; add broth and cooked noodles. Mix well. Cover and cook on low setting for an additional 30 min. or until heated through. Serves 6

Gals, this smells so good when it is cooking, I couldn't wait to taste it. There are 4 of us and there wasn't any left over, but my guys are big eaters. Hope y'all have a great day! Nancy
